A Buyer-Ready Checklist Before Sending Drawings
Structure your RFQ so engineering can review manufacturability, material, finish, quantity and inspection needs with fewer clarification cycles.
Must-have RFQ inputs
2D / 3D drawings
PDF with revision control plus STEP/STP/IGES/DWG when available. ZIP is fine for multi-file sets.
Material & finish
Grade, temper/condition, plating/passivation/anodizing/heat treatment callouts and masking notes.
Quantity plan
Prototype / pilot quantity, first release and estimated annual volume for process planning.
Critical tolerances
Datums, threads, bores, concentricity, cosmetic faces and assembly-critical features.
Application context
Industry, mating parts, environment and packaging needs — optional but accelerates route selection.
Inspection needs
FAI, dimensional reports, material certs or other release documents required by your quality system.
Best RFQ package
- PDF drawing + STEP/DWG if available
- Material, finish, hardness and special treatment requirements
- Prototype quantity, batch quantity and estimated annual volume
- Critical dimensions, threads, bores and assembly surfaces
- NDA, certificate and inspection report needs
Commercial terms (payment, Incoterms) and lead timing are confirmed during quotation. This site does not publish fixed SLA or payment defaults.
Use the RFQ form, then attach drawings in the email handoff to li@zhuochenghardware.com.
