Design & Drawings
4 questions about design & drawings.
What file formats do you accept for quoting?
For accurate and timely quotes, we accept 3D CAD files in STEP, STP or IGES format. 2D drawings with reference dimensions must be in PDF format. We can also work with DWG, STL and ZIP archives. Complete manufacturing information (material, quantity, finish, tolerances) should be included with the technical documentation.
Can you help optimize my design for manufacturing?
Yes. While we do not offer standalone product design services, we provide manufacturing design reviews for all approved orders. Our engineering team works with you to optimize 2D and 3D drawings — improving manufacturability, resolving design conflicts, identifying tolerance adjustments, and reducing production costs. Critical-tolerance areas and those that can be slightly relaxed are both reviewed.
How do you protect my design confidentiality?
We take confidentiality seriously. We routinely sign mutual NDAs before reviewing customer drawings — you can send your NDA template or we can provide ours. Inside the factory, we maintain a strict confidentiality policy: photographing customer products in any form is strictly forbidden without clear, formal written permission. Your product information and intellectual property are protected at every stage.
How do I know which product category my part fits into?
Send the drawing and application notes via RFQ. Our engineering team will map the part to Swiss turning, CNC machining, gear manufacturing, sheet metal or custom fasteners as needed. You don't need to know the exact category — just describe what you need and we'll recommend the best process route.
Materials & Production
6 questions about materials & production.
What materials do you work with?
We regularly machine a wide range of materials: stainless steel (303, 304, 316, 416, 17-4 PH), carbon and alloy steel (1018, 1045, 4140, 4340, 12L14), aluminum (6061, 6063, 7075), copper alloys (brass C3604, phosphor bronze, beryllium copper), titanium (Grade 2, Grade 5), and engineering plastics (POM/Delrin, PEEK, Nylon, PTFE, PC/ABS, acrylic). Other materials can be reviewed based on your drawing.
Can I use my own materials (customer-supplied material)?
Yes. Customer-supplied materials are acceptable as long as they are compatible with our machines and processes. Please provide the material specification and grade in advance so we can confirm compatibility and plan the production route accordingly.
What manufacturing processes do you offer?
Our in-house capabilities include Swiss-type CNC turning (50+ machines), CNC turning (40+), CNC milling (30+), CNC turn-mill (20+), automatic lathe (120+), precision gear manufacturing (hobbing and whirling), and sheet metal fabrication (laser cutting, bending, stamping, welding). Secondary operations and surface finishing are coordinated through qualified partners.
What tolerances can you achieve?
Tolerance depends on part dimensions, geometry, feature details, material, surface finish and process. Our Swiss CNC turning can achieve ±0.005mm on critical dimensions (drawing-dependent). CNC milling and turning typically achieve ±0.01mm. We recommend marking critical-tolerance areas on your drawing — our engineering team will review and confirm feasibility during quotation. All manufacturing specifications must be clearly defined in 2D drawings.
How do you ensure the quality of my parts?
Every order follows a 5-stage quality process: IQC (incoming material inspection with certificate verification), FAI (first article inspection before mass production), IPQC (in-process inspection with periodic sampling), OQC (final dimensional and appearance inspection), and full traceability (material batch, production date, equipment and inspection records). Final inspection reports are available before shipment.
What inspection equipment do you have?
Our inspection lab includes a Mitutoyo CMM (μm-level), Keyence vision inspection machine , WENEXPLORER VMS-2010F optical projector , Mitutoyo micrometers (0.001mm resolution), calipers, height gauges, surface roughness tester (Ra 0.01μm), hardness tester (HRC/HRB/HV), thread gauges and concentricity tester. Salt spray testing (up to 1000h) is also available.
Surface Finishing
5 questions about surface finishing.
What types of surface finishing do you offer?
We offer a wide range of surface finishing services. In-house: deburring, cleaning, basic polishing, sandblasting and brushing. Through qualified partners: anodizing (clear, black, color, hard anodizing), plating (zinc, nickel, chrome, gold, silver, tin), powder coating (60–120μm), QPQ / Melonite , passivation , electropolishing , black oxide , PVD / DLC coating and heat treatment (quenching, carburizing, nitriding).
Can you provide passivation for stainless steel parts?
Yes. Passivation is available for stainless steel components. It enhances corrosion resistance by removing free iron from the surface and forming a protective oxide layer. Typical salt spray resistance after passivation is 48–96 hours, depending on material grade and specification.
What secondary finishing options are available?
We offer a wide range of secondary finishing: powder coating , anodizing (clear, black, color, hard), electroless nickel plating , sandblasting , metal brushing , polishing , grinding , QPQ / Melonite , heat treatment , electropolishing and PVD / DLC coating . For finishes not listed, please include your requirements in the RFQ and we will confirm availability.
What salt spray resistance can you achieve?
Salt spray resistance varies by finish type: zinc plating (48–120h), nickel plating (72–200h), passivation (48–96h), QPQ/Melonite (200h+), powder coating (300–1000h), hard anodizing (excellent for aluminum). Specific resistance depends on material grade, coating thickness, process parameters and your specification. Salt spray test reports are available per request.
Do you offer marking and engraving?
Yes. We offer 5 marking methods: laser engraving (permanent, high-contrast), CNC engraving (precision on flat or curved surfaces), silk screen printing (flat surfaces), chemical etching (fine markings and decorative patterns), and pad printing (curved or irregular surfaces). Available on both metal and plastic parts for LOGO, serial numbers, date codes and traceability.
Ordering & Delivery
5 questions about ordering & delivery.
How long does it take to get a quote?
In most cases, we respond within 24 hours of receiving a complete RFQ (drawing, material, quantity, finish requirements). For simpler parts, responses are often faster. If a quote requires additional engineering review, we will notify you as soon as possible. To speed up your quote, include all relevant information: drawings, material grade, quantity, surface finish and any special inspection requirements.
What is your typical lead time?
Lead time depends on part complexity, material availability, surface treatment and quantity. Typical range: 7–15 days for samples/prototypes, 15–30 days for production batches. More complex parts or special features will take longer. An exact lead time is confirmed at quotation. We also offer expedited options for urgent projects.
Is there a minimum or maximum order quantity?
No strict MOQ. You can order any quantity from 1 piece (prototype) to 100,000+ pieces (mass production). Pricing is volume-based. For prototype and small-batch orders, the unit price is higher due to setup costs. For bulk or repeat production orders, please contact us for preferential pricing.
Do you support prototype and sample production?
Yes. We support prototype validation (1–100 pcs), pilot batches and long-term production programs. Sample quantities can be discussed during RFQ. Prototypes are a great way to validate design and fit before committing to larger production volumes.
Where is your factory located and how do you ship?
Our factory is in Shenzhen, China (address: 4F, No. 41 Huangdang Road, Luowuwei Industrial, Dalang Street, Longhua, Shenzhen, 518109). We ship worldwide via DHL, FedEx, UPS (express for samples and small batches) and sea/air freight for larger orders. We provide all export documentation including certificate of origin, commercial invoice and packing list.
Send us the drawing and project requirements. Engineering will reply with the information needed for quotation.
