Brass vs. Stainless Steel for Connector Pins
Material trade-offs between brass and stainless steel for connector-style pins and contacts in precision machining programs.
Brass strengths
Brass and copper alloys are often selected for conductivity, machinability and connector-related geometries. They can machine cleanly on Swiss-type routes when geometry is pin-like or multi-featured.
Stainless strengths
Stainless grades are chosen for corrosion resistance, strength and environmental requirements. Machinability and work-hardening behavior differ by grade, so call out the exact specification on the drawing.

State conductivity, plating, passivation and mating contact requirements early. Zhuocheng confirms material routes during manufacturability review — see Materials & Finishes.
Send drawings, material, quantity and inspection requirements. Zhuocheng will review manufacturability and recommend a process route.
